Phyllis D. Petersen, 82, of Syracuse died Feb. 2, 2012 at Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse. He was born Aug. 30, 1929 in Dunbar to Fredrick U. and Charlotte F. (Griesewell) Gunn. She married Clarence M. Petersen April 23, 1955 in Avoca.
Fredrick Alvin Clarke, 73, of Auburn died Jan. 30, 2012 at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on July 9, 1938 in Auburn to Floyd and Fairy (Jenkins) Clarke.
Leola Sophie Caroline (Grummert) Kreimer, 95, died Jan. 25, 2012. She

Pearl A. Monahan, 98, died Jan. 14, 2012. She was born Nov. 20, 1913 in Palmyra to John and Falsom (Dwinell) Dowding. She married Clarence Monahan on March 19, 1935 in Wilber.
Fredrick A. Wellsandt, 87, of Talmage, died Jan. 12, 2012 at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City. He was born on Jan. 2, 1925 in the family home near Talmage to Fred and Frieda (Vollertsen) Wellsandt.

Darold D. Abbott, Sr., 83, of Elmwood, died Dec. 30, 2011 at the Louisville Care Center in Louisville. He was born on July 12, 1928 in Union to Adrian and Nora (Jones) Abbott. After attending school he served honorably in the Air Force during World War II from Sept. 16, 1946 to June 24, 1949.

Evelyn Hoback, 91, died Dec. 28, 2011 at Hospice House in Omaha. She was born July 13, 1920 in Crofton to Riley and Mary Jane (Morris) Eaton. She had lived in Plattsmouth most of her life.
Veletta M. Windhorst Janssen, 93, of Syracuse died Dec. 27, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse. She was born Oct. 17, 1918 to Otto and Mary Windhorst. On Jan. 2, 1919, she was baptized by Pastor Gabriel at German Evan-gelical Lutheran Church of Syracuse. She was confirmed on March 20, 1932 by Pastor Krebs of Luther Memorial.

Schomerus on April 21, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebraska City.
