Yes, it’s still raining here every few days…after the last few years, we’ll take it!

It’s that time of year again! The Unadilla Methodist Church will be holding their ice cream social on Sunday, August 17th. It’s “free will offering” and take out is available. Call ahead at 828-3855 and they will have your order ready for pickup.

Can you believe school is starting already? Wow, summer really went fast…bet the hot weather will return though!

We all want to wish Barb Leefers a very happy 80th birthday! Celebrate!!!

Also, Happy Birthday to Kylea Block Beer on 8-15, Shari Timm on 8-17, Tom Rodaway on 8-20, and Burton Brandt and Leland Carmichael on 8-21.

Friday, 8-14-1925, The Otoe Union: Walter H. Thoms of North Branch, and Ruby A. Halbasch, of Unadilla, were married at Nebr. City. Jim West, John Beccard, and John Pell, shelled their old corn to make room for the new crop. It rained over 4”. Unadilla would have a chautaqua from Aug. 28 – Sept. 1. “F.C. Wallen and son Lloyd, left for the Black Hills, Yellowstone Park, and other points.” They planned to be gone about a month.
