Todd Daniel Schmucker of North Port Florida and Unadilla, NE passed away 31 December 2021 at Venice SMH after six and half years fight against Stage 4 Colon-Rectum cancer.
Todd was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Ernest Hal Schmucker and Catherine Lucille Means Schmucker on 16 May 1965. He graduated from Otoe County Schools in Syracuse, NE and attended Milford Community College, S.E. earning two associate degrees.
Todd started his is life’s journey with his wife of thirty years Eileen R. Schmucker on 3 December 1991 in Roanoke, City Virginia.
Todd worked at North Port City, Road and Drainage until is retirement. Todd served honorable in the U.S. Navy as a DS3/E4 from 1990 to 1997. He was awarded Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Ribbon, and Pistol Marksman Ribbon.
He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus; one of his most favorite volunteer activities was singing with the North Port Chorale for several seasons until the cancer forced him to step down.
Todd is survived by his wife Eileen, and his children Ethan and Aaron; his sisters Mary Simon, Cay Rowley, and brothers Jeffrey Schmucker and Jim Schmucker as well as nieces and nephews and extensive extended family throughout the west and mid-west. Family was Todd’s most cherished gift in his life, there was nothing he liked more than to be with them.
A celebration of life will be held at locally at Venice Christian School, 1200 Center Road, Venice Florida in February but the family will have a celebration of life this summer during the month of July in Nebraska for Todd’s friends and family. A notification will be sent out.

Todd celebrated life and always looked for the silver lining, any story, memories, pictures or thought that exemplify Todd’s essence is welcomed and will be added to a memory box for his family. Instead of gifts or donations, the family would like those attending to bring a dish to share. Todd enjoyed celebrating and believed good food brought people together, we would like this celebration to mirror Todd’s love of family, friends, and good times.
