The Syracuse Marching Band held an exhibition Friday, Aug. 12, 2024 on the Syracuse High School football field at 8 p.m. They previewed music from “Heartland”. The marching band will perform at the Aug. 23 Fall Sports Kickoff and also at the Aug. 30 home football game and Sept. 20 Homecoming football game. Band parents’ night will be at the Oct. 4 football game and at the Oct. 25 football game, senior band members will be recognized. Marching band competitions include the AppleJack Parade on Sept. 21, a contest at Palmyra on Oct. 9, the Ashland Oxbow on Oct. 19 and NSBA at Seacrest Field in Lincoln on Oct. 26. The band will also march in the GermanFest parade on Oct. 19.
