County commissioners approve motor grader lease purchase

The Otoe County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, March 23, and took the following actions:

Approved a resolution authorizing a lease purchase agreement for a new motor grader; Approved a conditional use permit for a private airstrip for Stove Creek Air LLC, located at 16th and C roads;

Approved a conditional use permit from the City of Omaha (Missouri River Treatment Plant and Papillion Creek Treatment Plant) to apply wastwater sludge on various farm sites in the county;

Passed a resolution authorizing the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office to destroy evidence and to charge other law enforcement agencies a fee for the service;

Appointed Harry Chaffin to the Otoe County Veterans Service Committee;

Approved a Community-Based Aid Application for submittal to the Nebraska Crime Commission;

Tabled a decision to appoint a legal newspaper;

Heard a presentation by Craig Jones, managing director, public finance for First National Capital Markets; and

Approved a proposal from Mainelli Wagner and Associates Inc. for 2021 bridge inspections.

The Otoe County Board of Commissioners will hold its next regular meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the Otoe County Courthouse.
