WAPELLO 3, W-MU 2: The Arrows scored a run in the top of the 13th inning and held on for a SEI Superconference North Division win over Winfield-Mount Union at Winfield. There were just 11 total hits, six by Wapello. Sophomore Emma Haines led Winfield-Mount Union with two singles in five trips. The Wolves' Liana Sweezer doubled.

BURLINGTON 12-10, KEOKUK 0-0: Makaylin Powers pitched a four-inning perfect game and Burlington High School's softball team swept Keokuk, 12-0 and 10-0. Powers (4-4) struck out four Chiefs in the first game and went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Bryanna Mehaffy also went 3-for-3 for the Grayhounds. Carley McGinity had two singles and three RBIs in three trips. Lydia Allen-Barnes doubled and drove two runs home. Adessa Brandenburg and Nevaeh Ertz each had one RBI. Keokuk's Erika Kruse suffered the loss. Brandenburg (3-5) pitched the victory in the second game, which was called after five innings. Brandenburg gave up two hits, singles by Kruse and Rylee Matlock. Mehaffy, Allen-Barnes and McGinity each went 2-for-3 for Burlington. McGinity had two RBIs and Morgan Schroeder, who doubled, Alivia Fawcett, Makenzie Blythe, Brandenburg and Ertz each had one RBI. Abby Thompson was the losing pitcher.


IOWA CITY HIGH 5-10, BURLINGTON 4-0: Burlington dropped both games of a doubleheader at Iowa City. The Grayhounds' Brock Dengler and Ladainian Ross each had two hits in the first game. Cody Newman and Drake Parks each had an RBI. City High freshman John Klosterman fired a five-inning one-hit shutout in the nightcap. Reese Wissinger had Burlington's hit.

WEST BURLINGTON 10, L-M 0: Dreyton LaVeine fired a four-hit shutout and the Falcons topped Louisa-Muscatine at West Burlington. LaVeine (1-2) walked none and struck out eight in the five-inning game. Tyler Dameron, Tate Nelson and Cordell Scarborough had two hits each for West Burlington. Dameron and Scarborough doubled. Karson Cantrell went 2-for-2 at the plate for Louisa-Muscatine.
