The S-D-A Rockets Golf team came away with a one stroke, first place finish on Monday, September 24, at Auburn.

The Rockets won by a stroke over JCC.  S-D-A shot a team low, 454.  JCC finished with a 455.

Pin placement proved to be a challenge for the Rockets, but it was also a lesson that the girls can build on.

“The challenges they were faced with on the green today let me see how they handle difficult situations,” Agena said.  “It showed the girls that they have some work to do to continue to improve as the season winds down.”

The Rockets had three girls medal in this event.  Shaylee Staack placed second with a score of 107.  Lily Kastens placed fifth, and a score of 111.  Caitlyn Carlson carded a 116, and earned an eighth place finish.

Jennifer Daharsh was one stroke out of the top 10.  “Her determination to improve continues to help the team achieve their goals,” Agena said.

S-D-A will play Thursday at Hidden Valley for the Lincoln Christian Invite.

“This will be a great opportunity to see the course that we will be playing for the district tournament on Monday, October 1,” said Agena.
