The S-D-A Rockets are now 0 and 4 after it’s 63-26 loss to the undefeated Oakland-Craig Knights on Friday, September 14, at the Knights Stadium.

Down 7-0 in the first quarter, the Rockets were able to get on the board with a 90 yard pass play from Burton Brandt to Grant Stubbendeck.

The Knights used it’s special teams to increase a 20-6 lead when Robby Mayberry scored on a 62 yard punt return, and the Knights led 27-6 at the end of the first quarter.

In the third quarter, Brandt broke away for a 20 yard TD run and the Rockets trailed 55-13.

S-D-A got back-to-back TD runs from Brandt and Mitch Brinkman in the fourth quarter.  Brandt scored on a 55 yard TD run and Brinkman sprinted free for a 90 yard TD.  

Brandt finished the game 5-of-11 passing for 143 yards and one TD.

Brinkman carried the ball five times for 94 yards and a TD.  Brandt added 62 yards rushing and one TD.

Stubbendeck had 90 receiving yards and one TD.  

On the defensive side, Brinkman came away with nine tackles and Brandt added seven.  Brandt contributed and interception and a fumble recovery.

The Rockets (0-4) will be at home to take on Malcolm (0-4) on Friday, September 21.  Game time is at 7 p.m.
