The S-D-A Rockets placed seventh at the Simpson Classic Invite where Brendon Lyon recorded a top 15 finish with a final scorecard of 80, on Tuesday, April 10, at Ashland.

In a field of 16 teams, Lyon was the lone medalist by finishing his day with a score of 80 and a 14th place finish.

Gretna won the event by shooting a tournament low, 310.  S-D-A carded 350.

Coach Sallie Agena was pleased that the weather conditions were better on this day than it has been in the past.
“The boys continue to work on their short game and hope for better weather so they can get out and play,” Agena said.

Noted scorers for the Rockets were; Grant Hallstrom, 86; Pierce Agena, 90; Kobe Buller, 94; Josh Fishpaw, 95.

S-D-A, one and two JV squad took on Nebraska City’s varsity and JV on Tuesday, April, 10 in dual action at Syracuse.

Nebraska City won both matches, but the Rockets Max Kuhr, shot a team low 48.

The Rockets will be in the Nebraska City Invite on Thursday, April, 12.  Tee off will be at 9 am.
