Rocket wrestlers sending six to state

Syracuse picked up a third-place team finish and qualified six grapplers for the state tournament during the district wrestling tournament at Malcolm on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Battle Creek took the top team sot with 215.5 points with Broken Bow coming in second at 159 points and the Rockets at third with 137 points.

There were 11 teams at the tournament.

State qualifiers for the Rockets were:

106, Brock Goebel, 1st

132, Oliver McIntosh, 4th

138, Maddox Stubbendick, 2nd

165, Cy Petersen, 1st

190, Brody Brandt, 2nd

285, Hunter Holle, 3rd
