Blue Star Mothers Chapter 1 of Nebraska City awarded seven area veterans with Quilts of Valor on Saturday, July 27, in the Kimmel Center following the Otoe County Fair Parade in Syracuse. Veterans honored include Dale R. Francis, U.S. Marine Corps, Nebraska City; Heidi T. Francis, U.S. Marine Corps, Kansas City, Mo.; James R. Harms, U.S. Air Force, Syracuse; Kimberly A. Lamb, U.S. Army, Elmwood; Robert J. Lundberg, U.S. Army, Lincoln; Daniel M. Whitney, U.S. Navy, Syracuse; and, Larry F. Wilson, U.S. Army, Lincoln.
