Otoe hosts annual cornhole tournament

The 5th Annual Lil’ O Cornhole Classic was held in Otoe on June 7, 2025. Rain delayed the start but by noon the Otoe Park was host to drinks, food and music. Over 100 people, many with their families, participated.

Kids played on the new playground equipment for which community funds were previously designated. Doubles winners were James Lintz and Chris Lutjemeyer and Singles Winner was James Lintz.

First place finishers received $500, second place received $250 and Third place received $100.

According to Matthew Koch, one of the organizers, the Otoe Kids Club also helped celebrate, helped with the raffles and got the word out about the tournament.

Raffle items included two tickets to the Country Drive Music Fest held in Ashland, two-1/2 hogs, and golf at Ashland Country Club and Syracuse Country Club.
