Doug was a member of the Syracuse Volunteer Fire Department, longtime 4-H leader, Fontanelle Hybrids Dealer Council member, served on the Germanfest committee, and was the Burgermeister in 2016. Doug never knew a stranger. He always made sure no one was left out and was never too important to be kind. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Doug was a very dedicated husband, father, grandpa and Papa.
