Marlene M. Wagner, 88 of Syracuse, passed away on Sept. 11, 2020, in Lincoln. She was born on May 31, 1932, to Frank E. and Ella Mae (McDonald) Sullivan in Lincoln. She graduated from Denton High School.
Marlene married Ron Wagner on Aug. 14, 1954, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Denton. She worked for the ASC office in Syracuse and she and her husband owned the Syracuse Steak House. Marlene was a 65 year member of the American Legion Aux., 50 year member of St. Paulinus Catholic Church and belonged to the Altar Society. Most important to Marlene were her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister: Katherine (Rich) Fortner; nieces and nephews: Michelle (Jim) Frost, Lynne Shrader, Robert Shrader, David Shrader, Kerry (Terry) Swanson, Kurt Oertel, Courtney (Jamie) Petersen; 13 great nieces and nephews and numerous great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Tony Howell, Loree Oertel and nephew: Christopher Shrader.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial was to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. The service was to be livestreamed on the St. Paulinus Facebook page. The link was to be posted on the Fusselman website.
Public graveside services were to be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m until 9 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paulinus Catholic Church.
