Jim Scott Ehmen

Unadilla - Jim Scott Ehmen, 53 of Unadilla, passed away on September 26, 2021, at his home. He was born on February 14, 1968, to Orval & Cheryl (Smith) Ehmen in Syracuse.

From the time he was young Jim spent most of his time farming, and later on hauling grain in his Peterbilt. Throughout the years Jim enjoyed going to tractor pulls, going to casinos in Deadwood, SD, and skiing in Colorado with his friends. He didn't like to miss his lunch time soap opera, Bold and the Beautiful, or any movie with Sarah Jessica Parker. If you caught him around Christmas time you could find him watching the Christmas Story on repeat.

He is survived by his Mother & Step-Father: Cheryl (Barney) Doeden; Sister: Lori Berner; Brother-in-law: Troy Berner; Niece: Taylor (Chris) Dankleff; Nephew: Tyler (Reagan) Berner; Step-Sister: Debbie Berner; Step-Brother: Steve (Kayleen) Doeden; also many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orval Ehmen, and significant other, Janine Schutz.

Family memorial services will be held on Friday, October 1 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Fusselman Facebook page. A public celebration of life will follow from 3-7 P.M. at the Duncan Building in Unadilla. Casual dress is requested.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
