On Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, Michele Renee Ziemann (Jaspring), of Unadilla passed away peacefully at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha at the age of 51.
Michele was born in Syracuse, growing up on a local farm and graduated Syracuse High School in 1986.
She was a member of the marching band and an active member in 4H.
Michele married Darin, her husband of 33 years, shortly after graduating high school.
Michele resided in Lincoln after marriage, in Wichita Falls, Texas, from 1990 to 1999, Syracuse from 1999 to 2012 and Unadilla since 2012.
Michele was a kind, loyal and generous friend that kept close contact with friends she gained in high school, friends from her time following her husband in the Air Force, and friends she gained in the last 20 years.
Her love of children was boundless. Her ability to charm babies and small children was famous amongst her friends and family and was apparent in her years spent babysitting and working at daycare, influencing the development of dozens of children.
She recently developed a passion for cooking
and spent many hours searching for unusual recipes to inflict on her husband.
Michele is survived by her husband Darin, her parents Norman and Pat Jaspring (Syracuse), her brother and his wife Mike and Becky Jaspring (Sioux Falls, S.D.), her sister and her husband Marci and Scott Lorenzen (Omaha), and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held at the Unadilla United Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow after graveside services.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
