Jeanne Kathleen Steinhoff Lowrey, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was born October 26, 1942, in Nebraska City, she was the daughter of the late Lorenz and Elaine Steinhoff.
She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1960 and later moved to Lincoln, where she worked as a switchboard operator.
After moving her family to Colorado in 1972, Jeanne worked at Honeywell Corporation for 20 years, the Red Lion Hotel, and Storage West for several years where she received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding performance as a manager.
Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ronda Taylor (James) (Littleton, Colo.), Robin Lavely (Daniel) (Colorado Springs, Colo.); her son, Rick Lowrey (Lorri) (Chatfield, Minn.); nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra Bridger (Roger), Barbara Dittenber (Daniel), and Julie Reineke; her brother and sister-in-law Fritz Steinhoff (Cheryl); and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two late husbands, Ronald Lowrey
and Donald Lavely; her parents, Lorenz & E
laine; her stepdad, Donald Craig; and her brother
-in-law, Ronald Reineke.
Keeping with Jeanne’s giving spirit, her remains were donated to Science Care for medical research and education.
A Celebration of Jeanne’s life is being planned in her honor at a future date.
