Carolyn Louise Miller, age 88, passed away at The Ambassador in Nebraska City June 3, 2019.
Carolyn grew up near Sturgis, Ky., with her brother and sister. Carolyn graduated from Sturgis High School and later graduated nursing school in Tyler, Texas.
She was a faithful Christian and a loving and devoted mother, and a loyal and caring wife, daughter, sister and friend.
She contributed countless hours and resources to numerous nonprofit groups and ministries.
Carolyn was an avid reader who had an inquisitive mind and loved to learn.
Her family feels her greatest accomplishment was that she was a wonderful mother who raised loving children.
She enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed cruising.
She traveled the world and particularly loved Israel and Europe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Miller; her son, Ronald Miller; her parents, Carl and Nona Morgan; her brother, Robert Morgan, and her sister, Kathryne Morgan Shelton. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Elizabeth Bailey (Neal); Alan Miller (Kim); Theresa Cain (Martin); Kathleen DeVorss (Robert); David Miller (Sonia), and Karen Miller.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Landon; Schyler; Heather; Travis; Adrienne; Amanda; Nathan; Rebekah; Matthew; Christian; Derek; Katlyn, Seth, Holly and Taylor.
She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Iris; Jairus, Jada and Ellie; a nephew and several loving nieces.
Family memorial services will be held at a later date.
We are especially grateful and thankful to The Ambassador in Nebraska City and Tabitha Hospice for giving such loving care to our mother, and to Cheri and Carl Peoples for their friendship and unfailing ministry to our precious mother during her last season of life.
