Roy E. Arnold, 80, of Falls City, died Feb. 17, 2019, at Falls City.
He was born July 30, 1938 at Barada to Henry and Anna (Roth) Arnold.
Roy was raised in the Barada, Shubert and Falls City area and graduated Falls City High School in 1955.
He started working with Carl Mangold and Maze Construction in Falls City and then worked for G. A. Goodwin Building Contractor in Lincoln, moving to Colorado in 1979 and continued to work for G. A. Goodwin until 1984 when he started Arnold and Beaudin Construction Company.
He moved back to Falls City in 2003 following his retirement.  
He was an avid reader and enjoyed using the Falls City Library. Roy was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church northeast of Falls City.
He is survived by brothers: Walter (Elizabeth) Arnold of Nebraska City; Marvin Arnold of Falls City; Leon (Beverly) Arnold of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and sisters: Helen and Carolyn Arnold, both of Falls City as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary, and a sister, Mary Arnold.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at First Brethren Church with Pastor Victor Haworth officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family will receive friends  on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
