Ora Mae Walters, age 84, of Nebraska City died Oct. 13, 2016 at The Ambassador Care Center in Nebraska City.  Ora Mae was born Oct. 6, 1932 in Thurman, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas Lawson and Florence (Sheard) Walters.  She never married and lived in Nebraska City most of her life.  
Ora Mae worked in the restaurant business and lived in Riverview Terrace for 35 years. She was a member of the Nebraska City Church of Christ.  
Ora Mae loved visiting on the phone, flowers and going for car rides with family members.  
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Jane Maybee, Bill Walters and wife Kathryn, Patty Ried and husband Wayne, Donnie Walters and wife Sheila, all of Nebraska City; Barbara Johnson and husband Jerry of Julian; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sue Reed; brothers, Charles Walters, Leland Walters, Robert Walters, Gerald Walters and Steve Walters.
Funeral services were to be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with burial in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. Visitations were to be 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska City Church of Christ.
