Twice a year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Missouri River Basin Water Management Division hosts public meetings to discuss the Missouri River Mainstem System, upper basin runoff, and reservoir operations.
The fall public meetings are scheduled for Oct. 22-25 across the Missouri River Basin.
Locally, a meeting will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center at Arbor Day Farm, 2600 Sylvan Rd.
Fall public meetings provide a status of runoff conditions and impacts to operations for the Missouri River Mainstem System. Presenters include staff from the National Weather Service and the USACE Missouri River Water Management Division.
The fall public meeting schedule is as follows:
Fort Peck, Mont., Tuesday, Oct. 22, 11 a.m. MT, Fort Peck Interpretative Center, Lower Yellowstone Rd.
Bismarck, N.D., Tuesday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m CT, Bismarck State College, National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE) Bldg.15, Rm 304, 1200 Schafer St.
Fort Pierre, S.D., Wednesday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. CT, Casey Tibbs Conference Center , 210 Verendrye Dr.
Sioux City, Iowa, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m. CT,  Sioux City Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Betty Strong Encounter Center,  900 Larsen Park Rd.
Smithville, Mo., Thursday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. CT, Paradise Point Golf Course, 18212 Golf Course Rd
The meeting series will conclude in Jefferson City, Mo., Friday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. CT.
