The approval of Arbor Day-related requests from Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce will be among the topics of discussion at the Monday, April 1, Nebraska City City Council meeting.

Also during the meeting, Mayor Bryan Bequette will read a proclamation declaring April 26 as Arbor Day.

Council members will also consider ordinances to adjust rates for electric and natural gas services from Nebraska City Utilities.

Mayor Bequette will read two additional proclamations: one for Electric Utility Line Workers Day on April 8, and one for National Library Week April 7 through 13.

A request from the Nebraska City Jaycees to use two ball fields at Steinhart Park on Saturday, April 20, for the annual Easter Egg Hunt will also be considered.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Bill Davis Room of City Hall, 1409 Central Ave.
