Governor Pete Ricketts issued the following statement in observance of Presidents’ Day, which is celebrated on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019.
“On Presidents’ Day, we honor the statesmen who founded and shaped the American Republic,” said Governor Ricketts. “The United States is the greatest country in the world, thanks to the vision and leadership of our Presidents including George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan. These men led our country through both prosperous and hard times. Along the way, they never wavered from protecting and fighting for the American ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As we celebrate, let’s recommit to building upon the great heritage given to us, so that America continues to shine as a beacon of freedom for generations to come.”
