The Otoe County Museum of Memories has ended its Sunday hours until May.
Several visitors have enjoyed the 29 wedding dresses on display from 1894 to 1976.  A display from Mt. Moriah Lodge was added along with a recently obtained sewing thread case from the State Historical Society.  It has been placed in the country store.
The museum gave several tours including the FCE, Friends and Community Education, statewide group, hosted by Otoe County Extension clubs.  This included several out of area Nebraska cities.   The museum also had out of state visitors from Maryland, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Washington and Iowa and several out of Syracuse area.
Sunday volunteer hosts from the Otoe County Extension clubs were Sandy Fowlers, Janet Twohig, Winnie Dowding, Dee Rudolph, Jackie Bremer, Charlotte Wood, Lynnet Talcott, Jean Lucas, Kathy Albers, Peggy Leefers, Margaret Broening, Verda Umland, Brenda Steinhoff and Bonnie Boldt. Also volunteers were Ron Conradi, Lucille Kreifels and Edith Roettger.
While the museum is closed for the season, any board member would gladly give a tour. Board members are Rose Garey, Phyllis Witte, Lael Spaeth, Gladys Vrana, Shirley Gilfert, Judy Moore and Barb Wilhelm.
Everyone is invited to the museum annual meeting Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at the museum. Refreshments will be served.
