A new provider has joined Community Memorial Hospital, and she will soon be seeing patients in the clinic.
Lindsey Abbott, APRN joined the staff, and CMH will be offering additional evening clinic appointments.
Beginning Monday, Jan. 9, Community Memorial Hospital will have clinic Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-5p.m.
The clinic will be closed on Saturdays.
With the recent addition of evening hours, they have had less Saturday appointments, and the hospital feels that with these hours they will be able to best serve the community.
Abbott began her healthcare career when she worked at the care center in Louisville (where she has lived most of her life).
“I loved taking care of residents, and I knew that’s what I wanted to do forever,” she said.
Taking care of people felt natural to her, and she wanted to continue in the medical field.
She obtained her BSN from Nebraska Methodist College in 2007 and APRN at Clarkson in 2016. Abbott’s internships and jobs have included work in the Medical Center emergency room, labor and delivery, transplants, and pediatrics.
She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and will soon have her DOT certification.
Abbott lives in Louisville with her husband Brian and children (nine year old Brady, 7-year-old Tucker, and 5-year-old Lucy).
She has a special interest and background in pediatrics and women’s health.
However, she looks forward to serving patients of all ages in the CMH Clinic beginning Jan. 9.
