The Syracuse Winter Vocal Music Concert was held Dec. 12 and included students in grades 7-12.  Parents and friends packed the middle school gym for a great evening of musical entertainment.
Seventh grade sang a medley from the Disney movie “Frozen,” and many students jumped in to sing solos throughout their program. Eighth grade students performed a medley from “Elf” the Broadway Musical (that was also a popular movie).
A small group of middle school students had a great time giving their self-titled program “Gleetastic Christmas,” and they did a fantastic job with their musical performance and choreography to “Jingle Bell Rock.”
That was followed by the High School small group “Platform 11” who blended their voices beautifully in “Mary Did You Know?” “December Rose,” and a fun choreographed number “Candy Cane Lane.”
The musical talent was breathtaking in each performance, and the final group to take the stage was the High School Choir with over 60 voices coming together singing “Veni, Veni Emmanuel,” “The Sleigh,” and “Mary Sat-A-Rockin.”
At the conclusion of the Winter Concert, all of the students grades 7-12 sang “Joy to the World” with audience participation on verses one and four.
