The Douglas Fire and Rescue Annual Pancake was held Saturday morning.  They served a great breakfast, all you could eat.
It was a good time to visit with your neighbor.  Neighbors included people from surrounding towns.
It was a good opportunity to help our volunteers with the expenses of their work.
Of course, they would accept your donation anytime.
Saturday evening Merlin and Connie Hartman and Milton and Barbara Leefers enjoyed supper at a Lincoln restaurant.
They spent the evening catching up with their news as it has been a while since they’d had the opportunity to do so.
This year’s CROP Walk for our area was hosted by the Douglas United Methodist Church.
It was a beautiful day Sunday to be out walking.  The group walked a pattern around the village for safety sake. Then they enjoyed cookies at the church.
The money will go to help feed people throughout the world.
Fourteen people walked while the masses with artificial joints just gave money.
