Syracuse high school wrestler Brock Goebel placed 6th at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U Nationals at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D. in mid-July. Goebel went 4-3 in Freestyle and earned All American honors.

Goebel is the first wrestler from Syracuse to attain this honor.

Two other Rockets also competed at the event.

Brody Brandt went 3-2 while Cy Petersen went 0-2.
