What a great day this past Saturday was for the Unadilla Celebration, sponsored by Mal’s Bar. Our little town was full of people and activities. Garage sales were everywhere! The music was great and we could watch the fireworks from our house! The consensus is: everyone had a great time!!!
The impact of SDA PTO has continued to grow over the last few years, thanks to the incredible support of our community and the outstanding success of our spring and fall plant sale fundraisers. This past spring we raised over $12,000 with your help. We are all grateful to Amanda Stubbendick for leading this major effort, along with the many dedicated PTO members who lent their time and energy.
Work on the mural in downtown Syracuse continues. Painters on the evening of July 22nd estimated the mural is about 60% finished. Weather permitting, painters are being scheduled for nightly shifts. Kim Pickering (on the scaffolding painting the tractor) painted the water tower, a tribute to her father, Charlie Pickering who was mayor when the new water tower was built.

The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to welcome to Brownville, Josh Hoyer SOLO – Stories and Songs. Hoyer will be performing solo, bringing some of his original soul, blues, and Americana music to Brownville. The songs come directly from Hoyer’s life and have a realness that begs the listener to step into his world. It’s sure to be one you won’t want to miss! The shows will be in cabaret on Friday & Saturday, August 8th & 9th at 7:30pm, and Sunday, August 10th at 2:00pm.
