Welcome fake news

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had some welcomed fake news? I can picture it now! “Gas – 19 cents a gallon!” “Congress passes a bill in complete agreement!” “Covid-19 has passed into the history books!” “Putin agree to ‘play nice’ in the world’s sandbox!” Oh, yeah, we could use some good news, couldn’t we? But – we will have to do with the news we have. That is reality.

United with Ukraine

On Thursday, Feb. 24, the world awoke to news that Russia had invaded Ukraine. Vladimir Putin launched attacks from land, air, and sea. By the next day, Russian forces had reached the outskirts of the capital city of Kyiv, where fierce fighting and heroic Ukrainian resistance continues against all odds.

The Eagle Has Landed!

Yesterday morning on my way to church I saw something I didn’t dream I would ever see. There, in the roadside ditch sat a regal bald eagle enjoying a breakfast opossum! I had heard there had been some sightings in our immediate area but didn’t think I would see one so close up and personal.
