Standing for Israel

Since 1948, Israel has been an important ally of the United States. Unfortunately, Israel has also endured a great deal of conflict with those who seek its destruction in the Middle East. Last weekend marked the 55th anniversary of Yom Yerushalayim, or Jersusalem Day, a celebration of the liberation of the city of Jerusalem from the forces of six of Israel’s aggressing neighbors during the Six Day War in 1967.

Wrong Number!

The story that used to make the rounds about small towns is that you could get a wrong phone number and not even know the person that answered – and still talk for an hour! Well, that isn’t just for small towns, I found out last week. It went like this: Mark had given me the numbers I would need to call the Nebraska Senators and members of Congress concerning my feelings on gun control.

Southeast CC spring dean’s list

Southeast CC spring dean’s list Southeast Community College in Nebraska has released its complete dean’s list for the term recently completed on the Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford campuses. To be recognized on SCC’s dean’s list, a student must complete at least six semester credit hours of the term with a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.

UNL Wheat Plot Tour scheduled for June 9

With the demand for wheat straw great, it may be an opportunity for crop diversification while maintaining profitability and improving soil health. Enforcing USMCA

Since entering into force on July 1, 2020, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) has provided a powerful framework to fight for opportunity on behalf of American workers, producers, and industry, and has strengthened ties with our nation’s top two trade partners. Spearheaded by the Trump administration as a much-needed modernization of the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), USMCA won 474 “yea” votes across both chambers as it passed through Congress, the greatest level of bipartisan support for a trade agreement since 2001.
