May Day, May Day, May Day
Well, I have a couple of words of wisdom for you this week. I learned them the hard way.
Well, I have a couple of words of wisdom for you this week. I learned them the hard way.
This week, I signed LB77 Constitutional Carry into Nebraska law. This bill fulfills the promise I made to voters to uphold our Second Amendment rights and the ability of all law-abiding Nebraskans to defend themselves.
Dear Editor, My name is Olivia Foley and I’m from Girl Scout Troop 20756. My friends Ashley Habel and Natalee Wemhoff are working on our Silver Award. We have been learning about sun safety. Did you know that someone dies from skin cancer every 52 minutes? Did you know that only one-third of the population uses sunscreen year round? So, for our Silver Award we will be putting a sunscreen dispenser at the Syracuse Aqua Center. We are working on raising money for our project. We need approximately $400 for our project. If you would like to donate for our project please contact our Troop leaders Jen Foley or Amy Wemhoff.
Our nation’s government was founded on a system of checks and balances. We have three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial. with Phyllis Buell Well, I discovered I’m not invincible after all. I hadn’t had a cold for so long I thought I had outgrown them.
This week, President Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced burdensome new emissions requirements on American-made vehicles. By requiring up to two-thirds of cars and trucks in the U.S.
Spring is finally here in the Northern Plains and summer feels just around the corner. As all we Northerners know, as soon as the temperatures hit even a mild degree on the thermometer most of us shed the jackets and long pants, and our skin is front-and-center.
As many of you may already know, many of my colleagues in the Nebraska Legislature are using every parliamentary trick in the book to avoid getting to certain legislative bills. They are attempting to obstruct the legislative process and prevent important legislation from being brought to a vote. This is a blatant attempt to stifle the voice of the majority and it is completely unacceptable; however, I am happy to report that we have still been able to move forward and accomplish important legislative goals.
From calving and planting to spring cleaning to graduations, busyness often seems to take on a special intensity across the early months of the year. This year has been no exception, and in the House of Representatives the new Majority has been hard at work on behalf of the American people.
with Kirt Manion Nebraska healed old wounds at its annual spring game. In the lead up to 2023 and a new era of Husker football, the timing could not be better.
