The Massie-Richards American Legion Auxiliary Unit #100 met at Post Home on February 4, 2025. The colors were advanced, and the meeting was opened with a prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble were recited, and one stanza of the Star-Spangled Banner was sung.

The 43rd annual Avoca QuackOff took place on Saturday, Jan. 25. The 2025 winners were: First Place, Entry 33, Emily Novak from Omaha with her duck Donut; Second Place, Entry 150, Jacob Chrastil from Lincoln with his duck Tron, and Third Place, Entry 149, Jennifer Baulisch from Papillion with her duck Busch Light.
