Otoe County will soon have a new events venue that will have the capability of serving alcohol. The Otoe County Board of Commissioners approved a Class I liquor license application from Bosona Events LLC, which was represented by Vedrana Dziko and Neven Dziko at the board’s Feb.

Peru State College hosted its 39th Annual District History Day Contest. The College was the host to 100 students in the region competing for a spot at the Nebraska State History Day contest on April 1, 2023.
Photographer Michael Farrell and former State Poet Twyla Hansen have collaborated on a unique exhibit seeking to provide “clear-eyed views” of rural Nebraska. “Seen in Otoe County” is a collection of 61 photographs accompanied by 30 poems in an exhibit that opened Friday, March 3, at the WallSpace-LNK gallery, at 1624 S.
