Nebraska FCCLA recognizes state leaders and award winners

The Nebraska Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) met for their annual State Leadership Conference April 2-4 in the Lincoln Haymarket area. Nearly 1,100 students and advisers from 90 Nebraska schools attended the conference to grow their leadership skills, celebrate their accomplishments from the past year, and prepare for their future careers.

The Nebraska School Activities Association has released the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Student Awards list for the current school year. American Indians face some unique challenges when it comes to caring for their health. Culturally, we view health in a Holistic manner as a balance of our bodies, mind and spirit that allows for good health. Historically, the women would have knowledge of herbs and men would be spiritual healers.

SDA fifth graders field trip

On March 31, 2023, the fifth grade classes at SDA middle school went to 5 different stations to learn the importance of water in our town. David Schroeder, Justin Stark, Carrie Romero, Kelly Farmer, and Jeff Vogt were some people who made the experience possible for the fifth graders.
