Syracuse High School students received medals at the SkillsUSA 2023 State Leadership and Skills Conference in Grand Island April 13-15,. Jackson Nordhues received a Gold in Bridge Building SR; Cody Damme received a Silver in Bridge Building SR and the Quiz Bowl Team of Caleb Caudill, Ryan Damme and Bryson Jones placed third.

After two successful months in Syracuse, the Food Bank of Lincoln will continue to stop in Syracuse with its new Hometown Fresh truck and trailer. It will be located in the Otoe County Fair Center parking lot in Syracuse every fourth Thursday of the month from 11 a.m. to noon. Fresh food is distributed to all that visit the truck. Walk thru the trailer with a cart and bags to fill just like a grocery shop. Past items have included milk, eggs, cucumbers, almonds, yogurt, frozen chicken, and bread.
