Sydney Wellsandt of Unadilla has been recognized with academic honors at Kansas State University. Nearly 4,480 Kansas State University students have earned semester honors for their academic performance in the fall 2021 semester.
Tim Collin, owner of The Stein in Syracuse, has been named the recipient of the 2021 Syracuse Area Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award. Collin was chosen for the Community Service Award for his work with the 2021 GermanFest celebration.
Andrew Lang of Palmyra has been named to the LeTourneau University fall president’s list. Lang, an engineering student, earned a 4.0 grade point average during the fall semester.
Syracuse Area Health would like to thank the SAH Auxiliary Members for their donation of an emergency blood warmer. SAH Staff are pictured here with the new blood warmer, which was purchased for the Emergency Room to replace an old inefficient blood warmer. It is used to heat the blood or other fluids to a safe set point prior to transfusion into a patient. This could be necessary in cases where patients have experienced massive trauma and need large transfusions, or when they are fragile for medical reasons.
