Better-Ba-C’s 4-H club had fun learning about contour line drawing after the March 4-H meeting. Leading the lesson was Pam Pfeifer. At the next meeting, club members will tie fleece blankets to donate.

Sample fields for soybean cyst nematode this spring

With the weather improving, you may want to consider getting your fields sampled for soybean cyst nematode (SCN) this spring if you have never sampled them or if it has been a while; especially if yields may be lower than expected or if you have areas in fields that have spots that yielded poorly. These could be hot spots for SCN. It would be good to definitely sample these areas of the field.

Palmyra High School Drama Department Presents ‘The Sound of Music’

The Palmyra High School drama department presented ‘The Sound of Music’ March 31, April 1, and April 3 for family, friends, and the communities of Palmyra, Douglas, and Bennet. They did an excellent job considering the first full time the whole cast run through the play was the first night. Angela Iwan made delicious cookies, cupcakes, and bars for the audience to enjoy.
