Open Class Entry Day at the Fair

Wednesday morning, July 27, was the time for competitors in the 149th Otoe County Fair’s Open Class events to bring their entries to the fairgrounds. Evelyn Boyd of Nebraska City had entries in several categories including antiques, needlework, and flowers. Her daughter said, “This is Mom’s day. SAH Auxiliary meeting minutes

The Syracuse Area Health Auxiliary held their quarterly meeting July 12, 2022, at the SAH Hospital. Prior to the meeting Mike Harvey, CEO of SAH updated the auxiliary members on current SAH happenings. The North Campus will be extending hours to 7AM- 5:30PM with providers seeing patients from 7:30AM until 5PM. The North Campus has seen an 18-21% growth in clinic patients since moving to the new location.

GermanFest seeks candidates for Lil’ Miss and Meister

If your first, second or third grader loves to meet people, dress up and ride in parades, then they would be a great Lil’ Miss or Lil’ Meister candidate. Whether they have a lot of German blood or just a little (some is not required), Syracuse area youth are invited to participate in the GermanFest Lil’ Miss and Lil’ Meister Pageant on August 27, 2022, at 9 a.m. at the Fair Center on the Otoe County Fairgrounds. Following the pageant, the King and Queen and the Burgermeister will be announced. All participants are invited to ride on the float in the 2022 GermanFest parade which starts at 10:45 a.m.
