Check fields, pastures for weed problems
Gary Lesoing, Extension Educator Late summer, fall and harvest are good times to check out where you may have a problem with specific weeds or where a new weed is invading or possibly even herbicide resistance is developing. By identifying the weed, extent of any infestations and locations of weed problems, you will have a better strategy for managing these weeds in the future, maybe even this fall.
FirstBank Nebraska provides lunch for S-D-A Teachers & Staff
First Bank Nebraska provided lunch to around 100 Syracuse Dunbar Avoca teachers, staff, support staff and administrators on Monday, Aug. 8, in the Middle School Commons area. The back-to-school luncheon is a 20-year tradition with bank employees organizing and serving the lunch. The main entrée was pulled pork from M&K Meats in Unadilla. Teachers’ first day was Aug. 8 and after an open house on Tuesday, Aug. 9, students returned to school on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 for their first day of classes. UNL to grant about 600 degrees in combined Aug. 13 commencement
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will confer about 600 degrees during a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony Aug. 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), immunizations help prevent between two to three million deaths each year.
