Human trafficking hotline launched

Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson and the Nebraska State Patrol have announced a new, local hotline designed for the public to report suspected sex trafficking or labor trafficking. The Nebraska Human Trafficking Hotline can be reached 24 hours per day at 833-PLS-LOOK (833-- 757-5665). The Nebraska Human Trafficking Hotline is designed to receive tips on possible human trafficking and quickly direct the information to local investigators. Tips can be made anonymously and go directly to the Nebraska Information Analysis Center, a division of the Nebraska State Patrol.

Rocket 8th grade football tops Falls City

The Rockets hosted Falls City for an 8th grade football game on Thursday, Oct. 13. The Rockets won 26-8 with touchdowns by Mason Lintz, by run; and Maddox Stubbendick, by run. The S-D-A defense scored a safety by Oliver McIntosh and Braxton Kelch. Brock Goebel had a touchdown run and Mason Lintz returned an interception for a touchdown. The Rockets finished the year 3-3.

Rocket MS football splits with Louisville

The Rocket Middle School football team traveled to Louisville on Oct. 11 and won the A game 28-6. Brock Goebel rushed for the first Rocket touchdown and Mason Lintz had a two-point run. Brock Goebel scored the Rockets’ second touchdown on a rush. Tristan Sisco had the third Rocket touchdown and Nate Wemhoff caught a two-point pass from Brock Goebel. The Rockets fell short 8-6 in the B game. The lone score for the Rockets was a pass play from Jake Janssen to Gideon Stark.
