103 pounds of marijuana found after I-80 traffic stop Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested a New York woman after locating more than 100 pounds of suspected marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Sunol. At approximately 10:15 p.m.

Applications sought for 2023 Young Artist Awards

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking applications for the 26th annual Nebraska Young Artist Awards. The awards recognize 11th-grade students from Nebraska who are talented in visual art, dance, music, theater, and film and emerging media arts (which includes film, 3D models, interactive art, sound design and video games).

80th Birthday

Please help Norman Jaspring celebrate his 80th birthday on Oct. 21 by sending him cards at 1000 Parker Drive, Syracuse, NE 68446. He has retired from farming but is having lots of fun with grandchildren and great grandchildren. The newest great grandson (Johnathan David) was born on Sept. 15 and the next great grandchild, a girl, is due on Norman’s birthday.
