Nebraska Supreme Court hears arguments at Nebraska City High School
The Nebraska City High School auditorium became a courtroom Wednesday when the Nebraska Supreme Court heard arguments on two cases before a full house. NCHS Principal Brian Hoover and Otoe County County Court Judge David Partsch arranged for the justices to visit Nebraska City and hear arguments to give students and the public an opportunity to see the justice system at work.

Students receive fall research project stipends from UNL
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has awarded stipends to 202 Husker undergraduates to participate in research with a faculty mentor this fall. Local students receiving stipends are Senior biological sciences major Renee Box of Nebraska City for “Seasonal Dynamics of Flight-Capable and Flightless Crickets and their Parasites in Western Nebraska: Coupling Coursework and Field Research at Cedar Point Biological Station to Advance Collaborative Research at UNL.” Senior mechanical engineering major Amber Tannehill of Bennet for “Designing a Hybrid Locomotion Robot for Lunar Exploration.” Nebraska’s Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience (UCARE) Program supports undergraduates to work with faculty mentors in research or creative activities.
NSP, NDOT teach partnership receives national recognition
