A lawsuit filed in all 93 counties in Nebraska alleges that the 2020 presidential election was rigged and seeks $10 billion in damages. The Otoe County Board of Commissioners approved a joint defense agreement for defense of the county and County Clerk Jenny Bassinger and authorized Otoe County Attorney Jenniffer Panko-Rahe to sign on behalf of both the county and Bassinger during court proceedings during the board’s Nov.

Otoe County voters came to the polls and took part in early voting to give the county a 54.01 percent turnout for the 2022 midterm elections. Of the 5,863 total ballots cast, 4,805 voters took part in Election Day voting, while another 1,058 took advantage of early voting.
