Doane Athletics is introducing a new academic honor this year that will be awarded each semester, the Athletic Director’s Semester Honor Roll and High Honor Roll. The academic honor is awarded to student-athletes who fulfill their athletic requirements while maintaining a 3.0 or higher grade point average (GPA) in the semester with the High Honor Roll awarded for a 3.5 or higher GPA.
Childhood obesity poses a serious threat to the longterm health of kids across the globe. According to the World Health Organization, 39 million children under the age of five were overweight or obese in 2020. That means that tens of millions of kids across the globe are facing a serious and potentially chronic health problem before they even begin kindergarten.
