Rocket teams sweep D.C. West at Syracuse

After a long week on the road, the Rocket boys (9-8) and girls (8-10) played at home in front of an energized crowd on Tuesday, Jan. 31, looking to avenge losses against the DC West Falcons, both runners-up in the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament, from last week.

The Syracuse S-Club Hall of Fame inductions took place at halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game against Logan View on Feb. 4. This is be the 5th class inducted since the inaugural hall of fame class in 2018. This year’s class is represented by one coach and one athlete. Coach Leon Bose, a popular coach and teacher for 20 years at SDA and Jess Kirchhoff ‘98, a very successful multi-sport athlete and state champion both represent the best of SDA athletics and are all deserving of this special recognition.

6,900+ Huskers named to fall 2022 dean’s list

More than 6,900 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year. Qualification for the dean’s list varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.

with Phyllis Buell Well, I amazed that the sun is coming up after all this morning. At least in Kansas City! I can imagine there are people in that great city that haven’t gone to bed yet because they didn’t want Sunday to end! I am at least wise enough to know which side “my bread is buttered on” with my family.
