Syracuse students received recognition at the FFA State Convention March 29-31, in Lincoln. Seniors Cody Damme, Lucas Harden, Avery Kraus and Jacob Schutz received their State Degrees.

Americans everywhere are still struggling under record inflation. The March Consumer Price Index, a key inflation indicator, showed a five percent inflation rate, with overall food prices up 8.5 percent over March of last year.
4-H volunteers receive state-level awards
Twenty-two adult volunteers, one 4-H member, and a family of volunteers are being recognized with 2023 Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Awards. The Vrbka, Ott and King Families from Polk County is receiving the Multi-Generation Family of Volunteers Award.

Damme receives scholarship from Order of Eastern Star
Cadence Damme has been chosen to receive the Order of Eastern Star scholarship from the Palmyra Chapter #257. The Palmyra Chapter awards one scholarship to a student from Syracuse each year.
