Delbert E. Peters

Delbert E. Peters passed away on November 23, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born on December 13, 1941 to Peter M. and Esther L. (Ottemann) Peters in Beatrice, Nebraska. Delbert attended grade school in Pickrell and high school in Cook. He went on to earn his mechanic license in Omaha. He worked as a mechanic and as a school bus driver—but most of all, he was a farmer—he put his heart into the work until his retirement in 2008.

Otoe County 4-H senior members tecognized

The graduating Otoe County Senior 4-H members were honored at the recent 4-H Achievement Celebration in Syracuse. Each senior member was honored with a senior banner, something that is new this year, said Erin Steinhoff, 4-H Extension assistant.

Kreifels to serve on NAYCin Lincoln

Madison Kreifels of Syracuse has been named to the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council (NAYC). The 21 college students who serve on NAYC are chosen by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) to share their passion and knowledge about agriculture with young people across Nebraska.
