Last Thursday JCC traveled to Syracuse.Coach Andrew Pryor commented, “We didn't play the prettiest game, but we were able to force lots of turnovers that gave us more opportunities to score. I thought our defensive play was pretty good which helped control the game. Our defense was a big part of this win.”
Gifts4kids organizers thank the community for their donations
Jill Crook and Sam Haag started the Gifts4Kids program ten years ago, and this season the program will give the gift of toys under the Christmas tree for 96 children. Both organizers want to extend a thank you to the community and volunteers for making it possible.
Syracuse celebrates Tannenbaum differently from last year
Due to the pandemic, last year the Tannenbaum festival was held with some limitations. However, this year people were able to enjoy walk-through activities, and the children were able to speak directly with Santa.
Christmas Reflections
Merry Christmas, District 1! The holidays are a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends, exchange gifts, and eat Christmas treats. For those in the military, first responders, or essential workers who are unable to be with family and friends during this season, thank you for your service.
