S-D-A athletics for Tuesday, Jan. 4, has the Rockets hosting a 6 and 7:30 p.m. doubleheader against Wilber-Clatonia. Friday, Jan. 7, has the Rocket wrestling team at High Plains for a tournament. The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will be at home at 6 and 7:30 p.m. against Louisville.

Rocket basketball teams play 3 games last week

A late second quarter surge extended inThe Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca girls’ basketball team played three games last week, beating Nebraska City, 59-19, and fell in games to Lincoln Lutheran, 42-17; and Elmwood- Murdock, 44-22. The Rocket boys’ basketball team lost games to Nebraska City, 42-19; Lincoln Lutheran, 54-35; and Elmwood-Murdock, 42- 34.
